At Sampson Surgical Services we provide our patients with efficient and effective treatment options.  Our surgeons, Andres Fleury, MD and Mariana Mendible, MD, are both Board Certified General Surgeons and Fellows of the American College of Surgery.

Drs. Fleury and Mendible, a husband and wife surgical team, each have more than 10 years of experience and are skilled in laparoscopic procedures. Laparoscopic surgery leaves few, small cuts in the abdomen and is commonly used for colon cancer treatment, hernia repair, gallbladder removal and appendectomies. It is minimally invasive, which means reduced pain and a shorter recovery time for the patient, making it a desirable way to have surgery.

Along with their extensive knowledge of general surgery, Drs. Fleury and Mendible are members of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. They are skilled in diagnostic breast pathology, do breast cancer workups, and surgically treat benign as well as malignant breast diseases.

They maintain full medical privileges at Sampson Regional Medical Center and perform surgery at the hospital, while also treating many in-house surgical and pre/post-surgical conditions in their office.
